Well, we are now in the campground in Pipestone. The trip from Texas was uneventful in that we had no problems with the truck or trailer.
We did stop in Council Bluffs for the night and drove over to Alison and Eric's house to meet them and Katie for supper (Tim wasn't feeling well so we didn't get to see him). They took us to a good Mexican Restaurant that had great margaritas, and, the food was very good too!
We did get to Pipestone on Tueday and have been assigned a site for the summer:
We had some confusion with our schedule but finally got that all worked out. Here is what it looks like:

Judy will be working in the office and I will be outdoors. Because of all the rain we have had, the grass needs mowing often. I will be learning how to drive a mower soon. Other duties include cleanout of fire pits, opening and closing the pool, helping campers get parked, bathroom cleaning (both of us), etc.
Since we have been here, it has been cold and rainy every day. But campers are a hardy group - the CG was full all weekend and they made do.
Yesterday we went to the Memorial Day service at the cemetary. It was cool and overcast but no rain.
The National Guard were there:
And the Pipestone Area band played some patriotic songs:
My sister, Judeen, came over from Sioux Falls and we went to Langes for lunch and then sat outside for awhile and talked (we actually saw the sun and got sunburned to prove it!!).
This Saturday we are driving up to Mpls to meet Julie and Emma at the airport. Emma will be coming back to Pipestone with us and will be staying for two weeks. Julie will fly back on Sunday and then come back up to get Emma two weeks later. I think she will have a good time here - the pool is open and is heated to 85 degrees.
