Worland and Powell

While we were in Worland, we had a good time with my old school buddy, Pat Foley, and his wife, Ellen.

Pat and I went out to the gun range on Friday and took some practice shots with a couple of his rifles to get his scopes sighted.  We met some of the locals and they filled us in on the surrounding area.  Pat and Ellen are interested in buying property out this way and he also went out with a realtor while here.  They left on Sunday headed back to Oregon.

Well, here we are in Lander, WY for a couple of days.  We did leave Worland on Monday, two days later than we had planned.
We had planned to leave on Saturday, but when we got up that morning, we noticed that our toilet was leaking.  The water valve would not shut off so the bowl would fill up with water.  There are no local RV Dealers or RV repairmen in the area, so the CG manager gave me the business card of an RV Dealer – unfortunately, he was 80 miles north.   I called him and he said that they were busy with winterizing trailers, but he asked if we were fulltimers, and, when I said yes, he said to come up – they would fit us in.
Since we had planned to head south out of Worland, I found another RV Dealer in Riverton (right on the way to Lander).  However, I got a less-than-positive response from them, even when I mentioned being a fulltimer.  So, our plans were changed.  On Monday, we drove the 80 miles to Powell and found the place.  I parked on the street because the lot looked rather full and went in.  Jeremy immediately took down the information he needed, had a serviceman go right out to our trailer and see what we needed.  I asked me about putting a shutoff valve on while he was there.  An hour later all was done and we were back on the road!!  Fantastic Service!!
We then drove thru Cody, WY and then south and back thru the Indian Pines Reservation.  Got to go thru the mountain pass again that we had come thru earlier and got a whole different perspective going the other way!  (Probably boring after a while, but you had to be there to experience it!!!!)

Here you can see a railroad off to the right.  Not sure I would want to ride that train due to rocks falling out of the sky!

Sorry about the windshield glare, but we were heading southwest and the sun was in our eyes!

And we did end up back at the Wind River Dam and Reservoir again.

Next Stop:  Lander, WY
