We have been thinking about traveling in 2026 but just didn't know when. Well, we saw that most of February was open (translation: no Doctor Appointments!). So we left on Monday the 9th. We drove to Lulling, TX which is about half way and spent the night at an RV Park that we usually stop at.
The next day we got gas and left for South Texas. About half way there, the tire minder started beeping indicating a tire going flat. We did find a gas station that had a couple of young guys who put the spare on for us. We needed a spare because we had about another 120 miles to travel but couldn't find a dealer that carried Firestone tires so we made it without a spare.
We stayed at Leisure World RV Park in Weslaco, TX for about 3 weeks. It's was warm but nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the weather without the freeway noise!!
We left on Thursday, 2/27, go to a Firestone dealer and got the tire replaced. We had them put on another tire on the same side of the RV since it probably needed to be changed as well. Then we headed head North, to spend the night in Lulling, and got home on Friday.
It was a nice getaway to just do something different. Sorry, no pictures.
