WOW, time sure flies fast!!
We are already in MA after having traveled a couple of days and then
spent a weekend in NJ. Anyway...
Judy thought these elephants looked cool:
We left Savannah on a Wednesday and drove up I-95 into NC where we spent a night and then into VA the next day. I-95 thru North Carolina is very pretty - they do a great job of planting flowers at the exit ramps and along the roadway:
We drove over to Virginia Beach and took the Chesapeake Bay tunnel/bridge.
Maximum height for the tunnel
is 13' 6". We are 13' so we were comfortable going thru it.
Actually there are semis there as well so we weren't worried.
We got to Trap Pond State Park
in DE that afternoon and spent the night there. On Friday we drove to
Lewes, DE and got on the Cape May ferry over to NJ.
When I took this picture I
noticed that the maximum height here is 13'3" but I think it might be a
little bit higher than that. What do you think?
In the distance we could see about 5 or 6 freighters.
This is a picture of our "sister" ship (Vince!!).
Entering the harbor at Cape May, NJ:
Exit sign for Belinda (Glassboro State College):
It is now called Rowan University:
We arrived at the Turkey Swamp State Park in Freehold Township (about 20 minutes from Hightstown/East Windsor. After we got setup, we drove into Russ and Elvira's house for dinner. Had a great time and great food (1st fresh corn on the cob for the year).
On Saturday we went to the Trenton Farmers Market with them and bought some good meat at the Amish Meat Market.
These flowers are for you, Morgan and Nick!
In the afternoon we
took them out to the CG so they could see our RV for the first time.
In the evening we went to Skip and Diane Cox's house for dinner.
And again we had a great time and great food!
On Sunday we went to church and met a number of people that we
knew some 24 years ago when we lived here. After church we took Skip,
Diane, and Matt out the CG so they could see our RV.
Later we were at
their house for the afternoon, dinner and evening.Ashley's friend, Sean, came over later and we got acquainted with him.

And, the ever-so-famous brownies made by Diane (not burnt this time!!).
Thanks for the sign! Helena reminds me when she is passing by also.
