WOW -- The Middle of May 2013 Already!!!

Well, it's been a long time since I last updated this blog - sorry, but really not too much to report.  We had some medical issues to contend with, but also had alot of fun following Gehrig and his basketball games at LCA and also now in a BB league here in Allen.

However, we are leaving here this Saturday, the 18th, and will be traveling up to my hometown, Pipestone, MN for the summer.  We will be camphosts at the CG there.  Not sure yet what it entails, but we do know that we will work 15 hours each per week and then be off for a week.  In return, we get a free campsite with full hookups - electric, water, and sewer, plus we will have free cable, WIFI, and laundry.

We plan to take it easy going up there - the trailer has not moved since last Oct. so we don't want to push it.  We will stay the first night in the middle of OK (about 180 miles from here).  On Sunday we will try to make it to Platte City (north of KC) (about 300 miles).  On Monday we will travel another 160 miles to Council Bluffs, IA and spend the night at a casino RV Park.  Accross the border is Omaha, NB, where both of my nieces and their husbands live.  If all works out, we may have dinner with them.  And then on Tuesday we will make it to Pipestone (230 miles).
