Return to the Lower 48

We left Whitehorse on Thursday, August 21st, and headed back to the Lower 48.

We stayed overnight at several of the campgrounds that we used on our way up:

Watson Lake
Ft. Nelson
Dawson Creek
Edmonton
Saskatoon

We got our last cup of good 'java' at a Tim Hortons in Dawson Creek.  They are very popular in Canada (and also in the midwest - Ohio etc.)

Saw some logging operations along the way.

Weather was beautiful every day.

We stopped at one campground right on the border of Saskatoon and ND. Nice little stream running along the edge of the CG.

From Saskatoon we headed south thru Regina and into North Dakota.  Passed thru Minot and then over to Casselton, ND which is just outside of Fargo.

We arrived in Pipestone, MN on Thursday, August 28th for the Labor Day weekend.

Had dinner with my cousin, Claudia, at Langes Cafe and ran into my cousin, Darlene and her husband, Dale.

They were there with their daughter, Lynnette, her grandson, and her husband and the rest of the family.

Went out to dinner one night at Claudia's and took some pictures of the old farmstead where her grandparents lived.  The house is scheduled to be moved to another location about 10 miles away.  Would love to see how they get this thing moved.

Also had dinner another night at the local Pizza Ranch with my uncle Harold and his wife, Edith.

And my cousin John and his wife Gerri.

I think everything we do while in Pipestone centers around eating because we also had dinner with another cousin, Gary, and his wife Shirl, on another night!!

All in all, it was good to see everyone again.
