On Wednesday, 7/17, we caught I-84 and drove it almost all the way into CT to a campground south of Hartford (Nelson's Family Campground).  A nice family campground but with some sites that are tough to get into.  I had to call the office after not being able to get into the site they had reserved for us and get a second site.  This one was good.

After getting set up at the campground, we drove up to Larry and Jacky's which is about 20 miles north.  They were all at home - Larry and Jacky and Hannah and Jon.  It wasn't Tuesday but we had tacos anyway.  Had a nice visit before heading back to the campground for the evening.

On Thursday they all came out to the campground - they did some swimming and tanning while Judy and I watched!

Later we had some brats on the grill for supper.

After supper we sat around the campfire.  I threw a few Xmas lights on the fire and we got some cool colors in the flames.

On Friday we met Larry and Jacky at a local restaurant that they like (Bob's Coffee) for breakast.  Very good food.

We ran some errands - I got a haircut.  We went to this one-of-a kind-grocery store.  Stew Leonards Farm Fresh Foods.

CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS AT STEW LEONARD’S!

Did you catch Bobby Flay or Martha Stewart? Lidia Bastianich, Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien, Al Roker, Giada De Laurentiis, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny have visited us, too.

Great store - it's like a maze - not your regular grocery store aisles.  Their displays are huge.  The majority of their products are private label - Stew Leonard.

And in many parts of the store, they have unusual things hanging from the ceiling.

We did manage to get some pictures of all of us on their back deck.

On Sunday we drove around the area and saw a couple of the Pasta Vita locations.  Larry's job has been to open these stores.  This one was actually put in an existing building - larger than the normal stores but I guess the price was right!  Beautiful store.

This is a new building and the Pasta Vita store will be the corner store.  Scheduled to open this fall.

From there we drove down to Middletown where Jacky works.

She is the office manager for this location and loves it.

On Sunday evening we found a nice little restaurant in East Hampton for supper before we leave on Monday.

It was a great visit, and, as usual, the time went by too fast.
