It is now October 7th and I am just getting back to updating the blog.  Sorry, but as most of you know, Belinda needed some surgery and it was scheduled for September 11th.  So we made the decision to get back to the states as soon as possible (and on to Nashville) to help out.  We did arrive on the 8th, surgery went very well, for which we are thankful.
We have helped out with the driving to DR appts, Bailey to school and to gymnastics, grocery shopping, etc.  We plan to be here a couple more weeks and then will head out on the 20th.  Belinda will have that week off and then be back to work on the 27th.

My last blog had us in Fairbanks so I'll continue on from there.

While in Fairbanks we did tour Pioneer Park again.  It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend it.

Many flowers in bloom this time of year.

The park has many old buildings that were moved here.

Large auditorium where they have concerts, weddings, etc.

We toured the museum that they have in the park.

Little did we know that Marilyn Neer (from Resurrection Lutheran Church) had her portrait here!!

They have a huge layout of early Alaska, including a huge train layout.  (unfortunately, the pictures of the trains didn't make it).

In Texas you can ride bulls.  Here in Alaska you ride something else!!

Definitely a nice day!!
