We left Fairbanks on Monday, August 11th and drove to Tok, AK. Beautiful scenery along the way.
We crossed this bridge and then pulled into a rest stop on the other side to view the pipeline.
Bob wanted a better view of the pipeline!!
Delta Junction was on the way (actually the end of the ALCAN Highway). This thermometer is displayed on the building.
They also have a display of the mosquitoes that live in AK!!
This sign in the visitor's center caught my eye.
More scenery.
We arrived at our campground (Sourdough CG) and got parked. They have a pancake toss here every evening. If you can get the pancake in the bucket, you get a free sourdough pancake breakfast the next morning.
There were about 20 of us campers that attempted the toss.
Unfortnately, when I tried to take Judy's picture, the camphost got in the way so I had to move quickly and this is the best picture I got.
Afterwards, we had our pictures taken on the stage.
Bob was the only one of our foursome that got his pancake into the bucket so he got this 'small' pancake that he had to keep overnight and turn in the next morning to get his free breakfast.
