We stopped by to see the Tolzmann's in Elgin for a couple of days. We parked the trailer at their church and hooked up to electricity. We had plenty of fresh water on board and did not have to worry about that.
We had dinner with them at their house the first night.
The following day Jeanne had to attend a seminar so Arlyn gave us a tour of the area, including the hospital where he volunteers every Tuesday and Thursday at the Cancer Center. The hospital is about 3 years old so it has all the latest technology. Here is a neat sculpture in the chapel.
Arlyn and Jeanne have a 1971 Dodge Charger that they have had since new. They were having a little work done on it so we drove over to take a look at it. It is all original. Very nice.
We also saw downtown Elgin, a couple of parks, and then toured some of the model homes in the neighborhood. Very nice community. We met up again at their house for supper and then took a few pictures.
Great evening!!

Car Show
No, we did not go to a car show - it kinda came to us - or should I say passed us - as we were traveling down the road.
Here they are:

Not sure where the show was, but it was fun watching them go by!

Confederation Bridge
A couple of pictures looking back at the bridge.
We made our way across New Brunswick to the far western side. Along the way we took some scenery shots.
We made it to Woodstock and found a CG for the night.
We are now back in the states and will be back in TX the first week of Oct.
Prince Edward Island - Cavendish
On Saturday we drove to Cavendish to see Anne of Green Gables National Park.
A couple of pictures on the drive over there.
We did a lot of walking the grounds and learned more about the book and the author.
This walkway took about 20 minutes to get to her grandparents' house.
This is all that is left of the house.
On the way back to our CG, we took a couple more pictures.
Judy liked the cloud pattern in this one.
We went to a bingo night at the CG on Saturday night. The room was full and the entertainment was not to be missed. At the beginning, all those who had not played bingo there before had to stand up. We were called Bingo Virgins and had to go to the front of the room and take a jello shot!!
We did not win anything but had an excellent time visiting with the people sitting at our table. More stuff went on during the evening, but you’ll have to ask us about it!!!
We met a couple from Ontario and when we mentioned going to
Quebec and Toronto, they said that there are MAJOR road repairs in both cities
and that delays could be extensive, so we opted to skip that part of our trip
and just come back into the states in Maine.
More later…
