Trip to Sioux Falls, SD

Yesterday, Friday, we drove over to Sioux Falls (about 55 miles) to see my sister, Judeen and her husband Jim.  We went to the Falls first because the water was flowing pretty good due to the recent rains.

It is a very picturesque place as you can see.  Weddings are popular here as well.

What caught our eye here was the train - there were 6 engines pulling coal cars!!

From the Falls, we drove downtown and ate dinner at a great Italian restaurant called Luciano's North (the original Luciano's is in Sioux City, IA).

From there we went to the water skiing adventure called:  "Catfish Bay - The Greatest Show on H2O!!  It is a water skiing comedy adventure for the whole family including acting, singing, dancing and amazing stunts.  Catfish Bay has trained 20 skiers for professional shows around the world like Sea World and Cypress Gardens.  All participants are volunteer.  

As the picture above indicates, there were a lot of hillbilly acts as well.  We laughed so much that we didn't even have time to take any pictures!

There were many jumps off slides - summersalts, etc. but you won't see them here because we were too busy watching the performers!  We did get several of the group skiers, though.

This group looks pretty impressive but actually not all of them made it off the dock the first time!

But the third time was a charm - it was the final act - they were pulled by a boat with two 250 hp Mercury motors.

It was a great time for all and a beautiful day and night.
