Two Harbors, MN

We left Minneapolis on Monday, July 1st and drove north to Two Harbors (about 25 miles north of Duluth).  We have been to this campground before and really enjoy it because of the view of Lake Superior.

Approaching Duluth, we see the bridge connecting Wisconsin to Minnesota.

This part of the campground is relatively new and has great views of the lake.

Our site.

After we got settled in, we met up with Donna and Karen who had driven over from Bemidji.  We went up to a restaurant that Donna likes and had dinner outdoors.  That's Donna and me.

Karen and Judy took a walk down to the shoreline.

After dinner we stopped at the local DQ for dessert.

And then back to their hotel and played cards - the first game was new to us
(7 clubs??) but fun.  Then we played 9 hole golf.  Had a great time.
The next morning we met them back at their hotel again and had breakfast with them before they went back home.

Judy and I spent the rest of the day relaxing at the CG and admiring the lake.
That night we went to out to dinner (and beer!) at Castle Danger Brewery.

Got our beer and then ordered pizza delivered to our table from a local pizza restaurant.  I guess we weren't very hungry as we had some left over!!

We were only there two nights - left on 7/3 for Ontario (Thunder Bay which is about 160 miles north).  Beautiful scenery of the Lake all along the way.
