Minnetonka, MN

We did spend the last week of June here in Minnetonka.  Our campground was in Apple Valley which is about 25 miles from Pam and Steve's.
On one of the days coming in, we saw this pass us - 1971 Mustant Boss 351!!
Very nice looking and sounding.

Most days were spent at their house enjoying their two grandkids (Mathais and Crawford - parents Jesse and Stephanie).
Matt and Janelle and boys Graydon and Marcus arrived on Tuesday so there was a house full most days.  Fortunately, the weather was good and the kids spent a lot of time in the pool.
We did a lot of eating during the week.  One night we had ribs and Graden won the contest.

On their deck out back above a light, a robin has built a nest and had a couple of little ones.  Even with everyone around, she would come back and feed them.
It was fun to watch.

On Saturday we celebrated Steve's 70th birthday (his birthday was actually on 4/18, but they  decided to have a party on Saturday when the weather was better).
Here is the birthday boy with one of his daughters, Stephanie.

We had brats, hot dogs, potato salad, salads, watermelon, and other goodies.
Crowded???  Nah.  Everyone was having a great time in and out of the pool!

If you were indoors you got a little serenade by Alice!

In the yard behind the pool was a deer grazing.

And, a closeup...

It was a nice ending to a week of family get-togethers.
