Ft. Nelson, British Columbia

We left Dawson Creek on Monday morning after stopping at our new/favorite coffee shop:  "Tim Horton's."

They are all over Canada and also in the central US.

We started our journey on the ALCAN Highway heading for Ft. Nelson for the night.  As usual, many indications that OIL rules up here - rigs, pipelines, trucks, man camps, etc.  And, logging:

Scenery along the way:

10% down grade:

We saw this smoke in front of us and wondered what was going on because the smoke would start and stop, just like you see it now.

Then we came to a side road and could see that it had to do with the oil pipeline.  Looks like they were cleaning the pipes!!

More scenery:

Canadian Rocky Mountains coming into view:

Rain all around us, but we missed most of it.

And, finally, the highlight of the day:

We saw another one after this, but had some traffic behind us so we did not stop.

Tomorrow is another day...
