More Puerto Penasco

Visited the local Walmart (doesn’t look like one and the interior doesn’t either but we did find some “Great Value” products.  Next door is actually a “Sam’s Club” and does look like one on the inside.  Unfortunately, no pictures.

We did find a Super Leys which is a Mexican grocery store - very modern.  Here is a picture of one of the aisles - notice the sign above is in Spanish and English.

We all went out to lunch one day where the menu includes only chicken.

Pollo Entero is a whole chicken.  Cost is $140 pesos or about $9 and includes chicken, rice, beans and tortillas.  They cook them here on the grill.  The drinks (cokes) were in 16 oz bottles.  Meal was excellent.

Or course, we had to have some entertainment!!  A couple of drums and dancers.

They had some high chairs for the little ones - talk about sturdy - you could hardly move them!

Judy has done some shelling and found a lot of different shells as compared to Florida.  The parking lot even has a lot of shells.

Saturday night we had dinner on the beach - Wahdingers!!  Did not know what they were but soon found out.

You take crescent rolls and roll two sections around the stick.  Bake it in the coals until brown, then take it off the stick and insert your favorite foods, such as hamburger, tomatoes, onions, cheese, etc. and then ENJOY.   Delicious.

Finished product.

Sunday morning we had leftovers in omelets.  However, we made the omelets in baggies.  Cracked a couple of eggs in a bag, then added whatever ingredients you wanted in your omelet, and then put it in a pot of boiling water for about 12 minutes.

Finished product (along with some hash browns made by Maureen.

More scenery around Puerto Penasco.

Another church.

A couple of restaurants up on the hill.

Trailer painting update:

More to come...
