Towerpoint Park, Mesa, AZ

On Thursday, March 25th, we arrived at the Towerpoint RV Park in Mesa, AZ.  Checked in and were directed to our site.  Very hard to get into but we made it thanks to my cousin, Gary, who showed up shortly after we arrived.

Once we got in, we liked the site.

More pictures of the painted decals.

Our street.

Got the DISH set up and pointed.  Surprised how easily we got the it pointed to the satellites!
We stayed in the trailer that evening because we were tired from the trip from Mexico and the flat tire.
On Friday I took the truck to the nearest Ford dealer to have the shimmy/shaking checked out.  They thought it was an injector but couldn’t get at it until Monday.  I went back on Monday, and, after checking it out, they determined that it was actually a U-joint, which they replaced.  Still had the problem so upon further diagnosis, they found that the drive shaft was bent and vibrating.  Had to order one from MI but it would not be in until Thursday.  We had planned to leave on Tuesday but realized that we would have to stay to get it fixed.  On Thursday they called me and I took the truck over and they replaced the drive shaft.

Works great now – after $$$$!!
In the meantime we met up with my cousin Gary and his wife, Shirl.  The ladies (Shirl and her mother) and her brother went to a craft fair while Gary and I got caught up.
Tried to go to lunch at the RV park but it was too busy so we walked to a Chinese Restaurant at the entrance to the park.  Good food and reasonable.
Gary and Shirl were busy that night so we called Ray and Karen whom we met in NH a couple of years ago and are staying at a nearby campground in Mesa.  Went out to supper with them and then back to their RV to get caught up since we last saw them (at a Hitchhiker rally in Kerrville, TX in April 2015).

We talked about this summer when they will be back home in Concord, NH. and we will be traveling up that way at some point.  They will be making some plans for us to do some sightseeing while we are up there.

Tomorrow is the big parade!!!
