Quebec, Canada - Day 2

On Day 2 we actually drove to the ferry terminal and parked.  Fortunately we found a spot big enough for the truck!
We got off the ferry and started up numerous stairways to get to the Cog tram.  $3 each.  This is a view from the top.

And a view down.

From there we walked onto the commons area.  This sculpture is on loan and was sculpted by Salvador Dali.

At first we saw this structure from a distance and thought it looked like a stairway up to a fort.  However, when we got over there, this is what it was.

A bobsled run!!

We did a lot more walking today.  Sat on a park bench near the grand hotel and watched people.  Then we started up the streets (seems like they were all "up!!!).

Saw this church on one of the side streets.  Not sure if it was still a church - even though Quebec strongly believes that religion is still an intregal part of life.
Churches with declining attendance are now being converted to libraries and condominiums.

Across the street is this church.

They had a sign out front that advertised that concerts are being held each Wednesday afternoon at 1:00PM.  And it was 12:30 so we went in.

This week's concert would be with accordions!!  Six musicians - 4 played their accordions while two also played either a keyboard or a guitar.

This was the program.

The concert was excellent.

After that we continued up and down the streets.

We had lunch at another cafe - did take a picture of our lunch - Judy had French onion soup and I had a chicken wrap and salad - both were very good.

From there we continued to walk the streets until we finally got back to the commons area.  Found a bench in the shade and watched the people (again!!).

We caught the ferry back - doesn't look like we were very happy (maybe it was the 7,500 steps we took), but, we really enjoyed Quebec City.  If you should get a chance to visit, we would definitely recommend it.

Got off the ferry and found the truck still parked where we had left it in the morning!
Never did get a shot of our camp site but Judy liked this tree across from our site.

Thursday we left for our campground near Montreal.
