Presidio, TX

The next day, Saturday, we took a long drive over to Presidio, TX per the recommendation of our CG host.  The drive was very scenic again.

Somewhere along the way we saw this sign:

Glad we didn't have the trailer with us!!  Also, there were several dips in the road and I'm not sure we would have made it thru those without the trailer bumping against the truck's bed rails!

We did make it to Presidio and drove around a bit.

Mexico border...

We did find this Catholic Church.

And, we found a cafe that the CG host had recommended.  Food was decent.

On the way back we stopped at this fort.

Judy found a cactus flower.

I guess I got caught talking to my sister while we were there!!

Found this turnoff on the way back to Terlingua.

These are the hoodoos apparently.

According to Google, Hoodoos are spiral-shaped;  these are not!

We did find a turnout to get close to the Rio Grande river.

Here a dad and son tried to cross but had to turn back.

More scenery.

We enjoyed the trip over to Presidio, but it was a long day.
