5th Canadian Stop - Chetwynd, BC

When we got to Chetwynd (which is between Cache Creek and Dawson Creek), we found out that they are into chain saw carvings as well. 


They have 100 carvings all around town (and, NO, we didn't take pictures of them all), only those around the visitor center:


In 2005, Chetwynd hosted the 1st annual Chetwynd International Chainsaw Carving Championship, hosting 7 carvers from BC and the US.  In 2006, the number of carvers attending increased to 12 from all across North America.  Chetwynd is now drawing international attention with carvers coming all the way from places as far as Japan and Wales.
















From here we headed to Dawson Creek, found the Northern Lights RV Park, and got setup for the night.
