Shelburne, VT

On Monday, the 4th, we left Conway and made our way north toward Shelburne, VT.

Stopped at the Visitor Center across the line into Vermont.

Interesting art work.

Hmmmmm.....

The town of Cabot was on our route, - home of Cabot Cheese.  Over 95 years ago when there were more cows than people in the state, 94 independent farm families joined together to create the Cabot Farmers Creamery Cooperative – not just to do business but to preserve the higher standards of dairy quality that are the hallmark of the Green Mountain State.
We just missed the 4th of July parade but were able to tour the factory, taste various cheeses, and bought some for later.

Because of the parade and other events in town, the RV parking spot was tight.
By the time I took this picture several cars to the right of us had left.

Again, we improvised and had our lunch by the trailers.

We did find our campground and had a nice site.

Visited the Teddy Bear Factory.

The tour guide did a very nice job of explaining how the bears were made, etc.  One area we thought was very interesting was this one.

Crates of bears ready for packaging.

A lot to see and do in the area, and, I haven't even touched on the highlight yet!
