Ft. Bragg (Day 2)
Tuesday, we drove to Mendocino which was about 10 miles south of Ft. Bragg. Mendocino is right on the beach - a quaint little town. We walked the main drag and found some chocolate to eat!
We also saw some beautiful scenery at a nearby lighthouse. This rather unusual sign greeted us on the path down to the water (click on it to enlarge):
We were impressed with the shore line (as you can see by these pictures):
Here is the lighthouse that is still in operation:
We walked a long way down this road to get to the shoreline and lighthouse. This is a picture of the way back:
When we got back to the parking lot, we decided to take our pictures next to a redwood tree that is a few years old:
Later we came back to Ft. Bragg and found the local brewery, but it was closed for remodeling. So we did the next best thing - found a restaurant that serves the local beer. Hmmmm good!!
Came back to the CG and had another campfire before coming in to watch The Biggest Loser.
