On Saturday, August 6th, we left Pipestone and headed North to our next stop which is at Eagle Ridge Campgroud on Gull Lake near the Tenstrike metropolis!
Interesting church steeple along the way, but I can't remember where we saw it.
Huge sunflower fields along the way.
Beautiful drive up here.
Stopped at a visitor center in Pequot Lakes and saw this. Looks like it is on a trailer to be used at parades.
Found our campground and got situated in our site.
It was very hard to get into and extremely hard to get out of when it was time to leave.
The lake was just behind our trailer.
Caught another one.
And then caught this monster.
Looks pretty big until you see my fingers!!
Didn't know how to clean the northerns but found someone in the CG who knew how. Alot of bones so it had to be filleted carefully. We ate it the next night and it was good.
One of the mornings that we left the CG, we saw this group in the trees.
Much of our time here was spent with Judy's cousin, Donna Zelinsky and her partner, Karin Snortland, who live on a lake about 10 miles south of our CG. So that will be another post to the blog.
Judy and I did do some fishing but didn't have much luck. We did enjoy boating around the lake a couple of times and seeing the homes/resorts along the shoreline.
Loved the campfires and s'mores, too!
