Anyway, we toured the town of Two Harbors. We found the harbor where ore is still being shipped out.
This tugboat was used to move the ships out of the bay and is now permanently moored here.
Two Harbors has a lighthouse station here. It has been in existence since 1892 after it was decided that one was needed with all the ships carrying ore out of Agate Bay.
It is still in operation today and it also has a bed and breakfast as well.
There is a concrete breakwater near the lighthouse. Don't have a picture of the entire breakwater, but this lighthouse is at the end.
Judy decided we needed a selfie (with a regular camera, no less!).
The city also has a train museum consisting of several engines, ore cars, etc.
We decided that we wanted to go to church on Sunday so we checked out the ELCA churches in the area. Turns out that there are two churches across the street from each other.
Originally there was only one church but it consisted of Norwegians and Swedes. Due to language problems, they split. On Wednesday nights there is a service and it rotates each week from church to church. What we thought was unusual was the time of the service.
When we did go on Sunday, we asked about the time, but no one knew why it was at 6:21!!
We decided later on that 6:21 might be a bible verse, like in the book of Psalms.
As usual, later in the day, we had our gathering. This was the sunset.
Another great day was had by all!!
